Christmas is almost here and although I have an awful case of Laryngitis I’m still feeling a little more festive than usual. The Christmas tree is up, the presents are all wrapped and the house is definitely a tad more cosy. I’m looking forward to wonderful weekend stuffing my face, having some well deserved rest and spending time with the important people in the life.
Thank you to the lovely Elly for including me in the Christmas tag, it was so much fun to do and I hope you like reading my answers!
1. Whats Your Favorite Holiday Movie(s)?
This is a tough one! I absolutely love the Grinch he is definitely my favourite Christmas character, however I always watch Jack Frost and It’s a Wonderful Life every year without fail! Both of which make me cry but they are really heart-warming.
2. What Are Your Favorite Christmas Colors?
I’m a huge fan of soft and netural colours combined with metallics at Christmas, Gold, Silver, Grey, Bronze, Copper etc. I personally don’t like tinsel, foil decorations or multicoloured lights so I like to keep things simple when decorating my home but when it comes to the tree Jamie and I always have a few random bits on there and special decorations just so its’s more personal for us.
3. Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?
Combination of both! I love lounging around in the morning eating breakfast, opening stocking pressies, putting on a Christmas movie on in the background while I text my friends and family Merry Christmas. However I like to glam up a little before dinner put on a nice dress, maybe experiment with new makeup that I’ve got and just feel and look good!
4. Favourite festive food ?
I love roasted vegetables, parsnips, carrots and potatoes dunked in gravy are my fave! I also love a honey roasted ham joint especially in sandwich the next day!
5. Do You Open Your Presents Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?
Stocking presents are opened in the morning, then after dinner we open presents from under the tree.
6. Have You Ever Built a Gingerbread House?
YES! I love Gingerbread and I try to make a house or at least buy a kit every year to complete. Last year’s Gingerbread house was a bit of a disaster, I think it only stood up for about a day!
7. What tops your tree ?
This year it is a big glittery gold star! Last year was a sparkly pink unicorn! Who knows what could be next year!
8. Favorite Christmas Smell?
Mulled Cider, Cinnamon, the general winter spiced smell. I also love the smell of a real Christmas tree and baking Gingerbread!
9. Any Christmas Wishes?
No Christmas wishes, only that my family and friends remain in good health and happiness and that we can all see the new year in with a positive attitude a love in our hearts. 2016 has a momentous one for me and 2017 is looking to be a busy but exciting year already and I can’t wait for what lies ahead.
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Spending time with my family and friends. Every year that goes by I really do count my blessings, Christmas is such a significant time for me and my family as it marks the important event when my dad received a double kidney transplant. It was only three years ago and Christmas is just a reminder of how lucky I am to have the people I truly love healthy and happy.
The Grinch I see my fave Christmas film as well! That’s awesome you make a gingerbread house every year as well, I’ve never made one before!
