Rescue Remedy has been a staple in my homeopathic cupboard for years often using it on my travels or before a big event however, I didn’t realise that Bach has 38 flower remedies all suited to a particular emotional or physical state. When Bach asked me to review a couple of their unique essences I was more than curious to trial and test these remedies.
The Bach Flower Remedies are 38 prepared plant and flower based remedies, aimed at releasing negative moods or unwanted emotions. Each one was created to treat a different mood or emotional struggles.
I chose the Cherry Plum essence, an essence that is targeted at reducing your fears, allowing you to think rationally and giving you a serene mind.
The Elm essence was the second I chose because according to Dr Bach this is aimed at building confidence, giving self-assurance and overcoming stress.
I have now been taking both essences alternatively, 2-4 times a day in a glass of water for over a month now. The essences smell wonderful and they are so fragrant. I was pleased to discover that they don’t have a potent taste and when drinking them I wasn’t overpowered.
The understanding with most natural remedies is that they can take a little while to start showing results. However it was only a week before I noticed that I had become more relaxed and better at coping with my stress and thoughts. With my current life situations being all over the place the comfort of the remedies gave me more confidence in my abilities and definitely left me with a calm mind among the chaos!
Overall I had a great experience using this product, whether or not you believe it is a placebo, I think everyone should give the Bach remedies a try and find an essence that is suited to their needs. The essences can be purchased from Nelson’s Natural World.
Have you ever tried the Bachs flower essences? Or any of the Bach range?
Wow! I never thought they would actually work. Been recommended them a few times but never tried. I think I might try this out, also on my poor anxious hubby! thanks
you’re welcome! Yeah I found them really helpful and it’s a nice alternative way to help assist with anxiety rather than just turning to meds all the time! 🙂
These are really interesting I’m really impressed with them from what you’ve said! Might have to give them a try. X
