4 months ago Jamie and I moved into our new house. It was recently refurbished and so we didn’t have much left to do in terms of decoration. All we had to do was get new furnishings, start a few DIY jobs, paint the windowsills and buy new blinds.
I aim to have a unique home with a simplistic finish and I think purchasing the right blinds is really important. I personally love white wooden Venetian blinds as they really open up a room and I think they look subtle. Alongside this you can tilt them depending on the position of the sun, this means your room is always bright. We are hoping to put them in the living room and the bedrooms as they can blend in and not appear too intrusive or in-your-face.
The blinds we have chosen for our dining room and our kitchen is Roman blinds. I love the different colours and patterns you can pick from. The reason we have chosen Roman blinds is that the rooms that we will be placing them in, we won’t really be pulling the blinds down in and as Roman blinds look better half rolled and tucked up it will really stand out in these particular rooms. Roman blinds add a soft effect and they are also easy to clean.
