Semilac Nail Varnish Review

October 29, 2016

A couple of weeks ago I kindly received some produces from the Semilac nail company. A polish brand, Semilac has become extremely popular, with brand ambassador Amy Childs (TOWIE) promoting the company across Britain.

The product arrived in cute shiny pink packaging and the bottles are decorated with a lace pattern.  I received a nail file, a polish in the shade “Pink Rock” which was a vibrant pink colour, alongside this I received a small bottle of coconut cuticle oil both of which are from their diamond cosmetics range.

Now I do like to paint my nails, I often get manicures with acrylics or I get nail art but since having my nails cut shorter my hands definitely feel less feminine! I don’t normally use extra products such as cuticle oil when doing my nails but after applying the coconut oil I noticed that my skin look shiny and healthy, the oil left my cuticles feeling soft, looking healthy and the smell was lovely!

After applying the oil, I painted my skins and I wore the polish for over a week, I was pleasantly surprised with the results. The polish itself is highly pigmented so you only need two coats, and after applying a top coat the final result was glossy and smooth. I noticed that the varnish was chip resistant and didn’t budge for three – four days! However the colour did become a little dull but after a re-application of clear top coat they looked good as new!

When removing the product it came off really easily with no stubborn patches and it didn’t leave my nails with any discoloration or marks.

Overall I think Semilac polishes are great! The product had everything I want in a nail varnish and the cuticle oil was a nice bonus. If you are looking to try Semilac for yourself, head over to their website where they stock a full range of UV Nail polishes in a variety of different colours meaning you can experiment with different shades and styles.

The UV nail polish in different colors sound interesting. I love nail polish and like to share ideas about certain brands too. Your review is great. I will buy their UV nail polish and create tips about it. thanks for this post

Raise your hand if you love Christmas pjs ❤️🎅🏻 I spent most of yesterday in these as Tom was hit by the dreaded 🦠 so instead of us seeing family and me not wanting to leave him on his Larry, we had a self isolation dinner courtesy of my parents. Not an ideal scenario but like I was reminded yesterday there are definitely worse situations to be in. Still grateful I got to stuff my face and lucky to have my family ❤️ hope you all had a wonderful Christmas🎄
