Last month I attended the Jo Malone English Fields event in Chichester. Organised by my fellow blogger friend Katie, the event introduced us to the new limited edition English Fields fragrance collection. After having such a wonderful time at last year’s English Oak event, I knew that I couldn’t miss out on this one.
On arrival to the store, we were greeted with tasty treats from the Wild Mint Cafe, these included baby corn shaped chocolate, fruit flapjacks, shortbread and of course glasses of fizz. After tucking in and admiring the beautiful campaign photos and store decor, we were presented with all five fragrances and guided through their scents and how to combine and layer them.
The five fragrances are Primrose and Rye, Honey and Crocus, Poppy and Barley, Oat and Cornflower and Greenwheat and Meadowsweet (a bit of a tongue twister!) Each one of the five fragrances are completely unique and not like anything I’ve ever smelled before. They were created to represent the beautiful English countryside and the sweet smells of the Poppy and Wheatfields. I really loved the Poppy and Barley and the Primrose and Rye fragrances, they really stood out to me and both of these are gentle and warm scents. Perfect for wearing on a sunny spring day.
Each of the 5 bottles is designed differently to the usual fragrance collections. They are in smooth pastel colours with rough ceramic bottoms. A truly distinctive bottle, this collection really stands out and represents the spring season well.
After learning about each of the soft and subtle notes in the English Fields collection, I kindly received a hand and arm massage with my chosen bespoke fragrances. I decided to choose the Poppy and Barley fragrance paired with the Peony and Blush Suede which in my opinion created the ultimate garden fresh fragrance. Throughout this experience, it was really pleasant and relaxing and I highly recommend getting a complimentary hand massage when you next visit a Jo Malone store. It is really fun experimenting and combing scents to see what fragrance suits you.
To finish off this incredible event we were taught how to make the perfect Jo Malone bow which we placed on our goodie bags. These were finished off with personalised initialled ceramic gift tags and a personalised gift box. When I did get home I opened my goodie bag straight away and was extremely please as inside was the Peony and Blush Suede body cream and the Oud and Bergemont perfume.

This event was so amazing, love your write up of it! English Fields is such a great collection. Was so lovely seeing you, hopefully we can all do something again soon x x
Thank you so much! Hopefully can see you again soon! xx
This is such a lovely post! It was great to see you and I’m really glad to hear you had such a good time. I’ve actually bought the Primrose & Rye one but now I want Poppy & Barley too! I can imagine it would smell incredible with Peony & Blush Suede <3 xx
